There is more to this life.

The Christian story is good news: God made us for relationship with him, and through Jesus, he invites us home.

Six moments in the story

The story of God, us, and Jesus.

Take it one step at a time.

STEP ONE

Created for more

You are not an accident. The living God made this good world and made us in his image—to know him, reflect his goodness, and enjoy life under his loving care.

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27 (NIV)

STEP TWO

We chose our own way

Instead of trusting God, each of us has turned toward self-rule. The Bible calls this sin. It fractures our relationship with God, harms one another, and leaves the world deeply broken.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 (NIV)

STEP THREE

The break is real

We cannot repair this separation by trying harder or doing enough good things. Sin brings death and leaves us unable to make ourselves right with a holy and loving God.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (NIV)

STEP FOUR

God came near in Jesus

God did not turn away from us. In love, he sent his Son, Jesus. Jesus lived the life we could not live and willingly gave his life on the cross, taking our sin and its consequence on himself.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NIV)

STEP FIVE

Jesus is alive

Jesus did not remain in the grave. He rose again, defeating death and opening the way to forgiveness, new life, and a restored relationship with God for all who trust him.

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 (NIV)

STEP SIX

The invitation is yours

Jesus invites you to turn from self-rule, trust him, and receive the life he gives. This is not earning your way to God—it is receiving a gift and beginning to follow Jesus as King.

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1:15 (NIV)

Your response

Jesus invites you to trust him.

Following Jesus begins with turning from self-rule and trusting what he has done for you.
